Many of us spend a lot of time at our computer workstations. In order to maintain comfort and prevent repetitive strain injuries, it’s important that we take the time to set up our workstation to properly fit us. This general self-assessment, created by British Columbia Provincial Health Services Authority, provides points to help you adjust your workstation to promote your health.
You may complete the checklist on your own, or with assistance from someone within the organization who has knowledge/training on conducting computer workstation assessments.Use this resource to record your findings if needed. Issues and concerns identified should be addressed as promptly as possible to minimize the risk of musculoskeletal injury (MSI). If you are unable to resolve the identified issues, speak to your immediate supervisor for further assistance.
