Fieldworker Monitoring Program
What is fieldworker monitoring?
Fieldworker monitoring involves a process for a supervisor to monitor the status of fieldworkers while working away from their normal place of work (eg. office).
The need for fieldworker monitoring can be informed by a risk assessment approach to identify the level of risk that the worker is exposed to during the course of their work. Once the need for a fieldworker monitoring has been identified, the key components of the process must be implemented. These include establishing the check-in schedule, completing a trip itinerary, identifying means of communication, developing emergency procedures, and implementation.
The information and tools provided on this page include all those necessary to assist Yukon government in implementing a fieldworker monitoring program.
