An inspection is a planned walkthrough of a workplace designed for the identification and control of any hazards that can cause injury or illness. Supervisors and managers are required to respond to a reported incident, conduct an investigation and identify root causes, so that similar occurrences can be prevented and future workplace losses prevented.
