Our Health & Safety Management System Corporate Bank is designed to help ensure all employees of Yukon Government have the tools they require to stay safe at work.

Standard First Aid CPR/AED

This two-day Standard First Aid CPR/AED course covers compulsory modules including:
  • Roles and Responsibilities of the First Aider.
  • Casualty Management.
  • Resuscitation and AED.
  • Severe Bleeds and Wound Care.
  • Burns and Medical Conditions.

The course will also cover first aid for other injuries and illnesses including: Secondary Survey, Bone and Joint Injuries, Head, Spinal and Pelvic Injuries, Chest Injuries, Multiple Injury Management, Rescue Carries, Eye Injuries, Poisons, Bites and Stings, Heat & Cold Injuries, Two Rescuer CPR.

  • CPR/AED follows the ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) 2010 guidelines.
  • Class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, with a 45 minute lunch break.
  • Students will be expected to complete practical in-class activities on the floor and in chairs.
  • If physical limitation may impede your participation in the practical part of the training, please let us know in advance to arrange an accommodation plan.    
  • Certification is valid for 3 years.

Course Cancellation Policy:


Corporate Health and Safety requires notice of 5 business days to cancel a class registration. In lieu of cancellation an alternate employee may replace the registered participant on or before the start of the first day of the training program. If cancellation or replacement does not occur, the department will be JV’d the full cost per seat.
